Introduction
Ever since I can remember, it has mattered not only what I say, but how I say it. As a child and teenager, this mostly showed through my participation in poetry recitals, elocution contests, and theatre activities. My career choice was obvious.
During my 34 years as a speech therapist, I have gained experience in almost every area of my profession. I began developing my therapeutic method for treating tongue thrust swallowing twenty years ago. Its effectiveness is proven by the hundreds of successful cases I have completed, whose insights I continuously integrate into my work. Fifteen years ago, I was able to permanently stop using asthma spray. The year of regular breathing practice that followed inspired and laid the foundation for developing my nasal breathing training methodology. I am always inspired to innovate when faced with something complex, challenging, or difficult. These are the cases that add flavour to my work.
I am very fortunate to still feel unwavering enthusiasm for my profession. The experience gathered over decades as a speech therapist gives me confidence. In the therapeutic process, I cherish the joy of connecting with people, the excitement of each case’s uniqueness, and the power of cooperation.

Reviews about me
“We owe a great deal to Etelka, because she taught my son the speech therapy exercises he needed before getting braces in an extremely professional yet playful and personalised way. At the end of every session, we always received homework, and we could ask questions anytime, as the precise execution of the exercises was important. My child’s tongue thrust swallowing and mouth breathing both disappeared after regular practice, giving him the green light to start orthodontic treatment. I wholeheartedly recommend Etelka — she is incredibly empathetic. With her child- and parent-friendly approach alongside her high-level professionalism, she is truly exceptional.”
“During our work together, we started restoring my tongue posture from scratch, and Etelka guided me precisely throughout the process so we could follow the planned progression. At every session, she gave me targeted exercises that helped me improve. She was extremely kind and attentive, and she always kept to the agreed appointment times. If for any reason I couldn’t attend a session, she was flexible and helpful in finding a new time. I am very grateful to her for her help!”
“The sessions and the training were well structured, and we progressed through the exercises in a personalised way. It was easy to follow what I needed to do, and whenever I had a question, I received an answer either during the session or even afterwards. For me, it was a positive experience, and since then I have felt more confident knowing how to swallow correctly and pronounce the sounds properly.”
“Upon my orthodontist’s recommendation, I sought Etelka’s help to eliminate my tongue thrust swallowing. In Etelka, I met a thorough, professional, and confident specialist who always explained the exercises in detail and practised them with me until I mastered them. She was strict and expected focus and conscientious practice from me at every session, as well as punctual starts. What makes it special is that we only met in person at the very last session, yet even through the ‘virtual’ lessons she managed to pass on all the necessary knowledge. As the saying goes, ‘Success doesn’t come easily’, but with Etelka’s help, I achieved my goal. I will keep the exercise sets she gave me and from time to time I still click my tongue — much to my family’s delight. I highly and lovingly recommend her; she is a true, genuine professional speech therapist.”
“I met Etelka through a recommendation, and even the first appointment scheduling was flexible. After that, the online sessions made practising alongside my job much easier and smoother. Practising with Etelka was a real pleasure — her kind, smiling, and friendly personality created a great atmosphere during the sessions. The precise exercises and homework brought real results. She guided me very professionally through the correction of tongue thrust swallowing and the development of proper sound production. I can wholeheartedly recommend her to both children and adults!”
